How to work with Overtime in Aorabook

Overtime

Overtime refers to the additional working hours an employee performs beyond their regular working schedule. It is usually compensated at a higher pay rate according to company policy or labour law.

This section allows you to manage and record employees’ overtime details for accurate salary calculation and reporting.

Overtime set up: 

First, you need to create a scale for employees. Where you can add the overtime rate.

  Side bar > Human resource> Payroll > Scale



Side bar > Human Resource > Add new Staff > Payroll info > Overtime per hour > Save

Overtime: from here, you can view overtime details and manually set overtime for all staff. Just follow these steps:

Role: Choose the role of the employees whose overtime data you want to view or update.

Company: Select the company for which you want to record or manage overtime.

Branch: Select the branch where the employees are assigned.

Year: Choose the year corresponding to the overtime period.

Month: Choose the month for which you want to record or calculate overtime.

Overtime table: Here, you will see the staff overtime list. From the list, you can view all the details, such as:

Staff Information: The name of the staff member and their e-mail address.

Time: Sum of Overtime work hours

Add Overtime Hours: Manually enter the number of extra working hours for each employee if needed. 

Update: After entering the overtime data, click Update to update the system. The overtime amount will automatically reflect in the payroll process.

Overtime Calculation:

The overtime amount is calculated based on the employee’s hourly rate and the number of overtime hours worked.

Formula:

Overtime Amount = Overtime Hours Ă— Overtime Rate

Where:

Overtime Hours: Total additional hours worked beyond the regular schedule.

Overtime Rate: Compensation rate per hour, usually higher than the regular hourly rate.

Overtime Balance column in Payroll: In the payroll section, you can see the Overtime amount of all individual employees. 



Advance filter: 


Role:  Choose the role for which you want to view overtime from the list.

Branch: Choose the specific branch.

Year: Choose the year for which you want to view overtime from the list.

Month: Select the month for which you want to view overtime from the list.



Export Data: You can export overtime data from here.
